On Tuesday Bahrâm hears about the
search for the key to happiness – its
method of discovery is recounted by a
sage in a practical earthy way, as solid as
the four corners of a square, which is the
geometry that governs my illustration.
A square grid decorates the dome and
the bedroom floor, while the paving in the
garden has ‘fourness’ patterns of crosses
and squares. The decorative motif of the
garden arch is called The Breath of the
Compassionate, composed of eight- and
four-pointed stars derived from static and
dynamic squares.
